Warkworth Castle and the River Coquet

Warkworth Castle stands on the banks of the River Coquet just north of the town of Amble in Northumberland. The castle is dates back to the 12th Century, and is known as a “motte castle”. These photo’s of the castle and river were taken on a misty day in January 2006.
